2016 was many things to many people. For some, it was one of the best years of their lives. For others, they’ve never experienced such devastation.
I don’t recall a year in recent times that has ignited such waves of emotion. There were moments of divisive rhetoric between friends and families, often creating heated relational rifts. There were other moments that seemed to raise our collective spirits. I mean, could you not be happier for the Cubs and the Cavaliers in their historic championships? Amazing!
The year was an emotional one for sure. Because it’s often easy to get wrapped up in the emotional influence of extreme joy or utter sadness, we need something or someone that can keep us grounded. These are the things or people that remind us of what matters most in this life.
Here’s one reminder that keeps me grounded:
The other reminder is the “911” call that changed everything for me. It also happens to be another excerpt from my book coming out next month. You can receive that chapter, and a couple of others, by visiting www.daretomatterbook.com.
What are your reminders? Feel free to email them to me. I’d love to hear/see them.
Happy New Year!
Pete
